“It is of vital human importance that civil society organisations realise that throughout any transitional process, while we should actively seek to make a contribution, we should not try to take the credit or seek fame for our role. The focus of our work needs to be on the bigger human picture – the creation of a better world.” That’s the conclusion Idasa offered to participants from Iraq, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt at a UN workshop. The “Idasa Case Study on the South African Transition,”  co-authored by Yvette Geyer and Ivor Jenkins, prompted extensive debate at the workshop, which was held in Amman, Jordan on 5-8 April.
