Book Launch: Finding Freedom in the Bush of Books

You are invited to the launch of:

Finding Freedom in the Bush of Books edited by Cornelius Thomas

Finding Freedom in the Bush of Books is an eyewitness account of the history of the University of the Western Cape (UWC) that provides insights into why UWC is still the largest producer of black (the political, not the race term) graduates  in South Africa and why its history parallels that of South Africa as a nation.

Finding Freedom in the Bush of Books is an appropriate celebration of a quite extraordinary institution that has found a deep place in the hearts of so many, has contributed so much to our nation’s freedom and continues to suffers from the horrible consequences of apartheid, and which continues to respond passionately, through its teaching, research and community engagement, to secure the country’s future.
