Free lunchtime talk: Fair Trade

You are invited to a free Lunchtime Soapbox talk entitled:

An Introduction to Fair Trade by Arianna Baldo & Mandy Moussouris

Arianna and Mandy will introduce the Fairtrade concept and its numerous benefits. They will give a brief overview on how Fairtrade works and what its impact has been in South Africa.

The speakers will describe various Fairtrade projects on local farms and what they mean for farm workers. They will also highlight a number of South African Fairtrade products.

Arianna Baldo, is the Marketing and Promotions Coordinator of Fairtrade Label South Africa and project assistant for Solidaridad Southern Africa. Mandy Moussouris is the Fair Trade Project Manager for the Environmental Monitoring Group.

A delicious and affordable (from R35) brown bag lunch will be on sale at the venue.
